Session Abstract:
Paper-based and brick-and-mortar testing have been traditionally associated with assessment. But how do these historical approaches impact the greater environment? Are there ways to achieve similar or even better results with green friendly technologies? The answer is "Yes"! In this session, discover how to incorporate the latest in online testing technologies without sacrificing program control or security, and ways to make assessments green. Presenters will lead the audience in a discussion that identifies the areas of testing that leave the largest footprint, such as climate control, travel and computers. Participants share their experiences in greening their practice. Participants will learn how to set up a green infrastructure, focusing on procurement and recycling and will learn how to interpret common green concepts such as life-cycle analysis, ecological footprint, regenerative design and renewable energy. The speakers will show how personnel certifications can promote sustainability by incorporating sustainable KSAs into pre-existing assessment programs.
