Session Abstract:

This session will review the application of global on-line assessment dealing with over 60,000 multi-language assessments embedded within an applicant tracking system, as well as a costed ROI for on-line testing..

In addition, this session will also focus on profiling an innovative assessment of leadership potential, using a unique, behaviourally-focused managerial evaluation tool, as well as a developmental 360o assessment that is fully integrated into an award-winning development program.

This session will be of interest to any multi-national, global organisation, and in particular, organisations wanting to focus on the early identification of leadership potential.

Presenter Bio:

John Mahoney-Phillip is the Global Head of Human Capital at UBS AG. C.Psychol. C. Sci. AFBPsS

With over 20 years of experience in consultancy and the financial services sector, John worked for 10 years with the global HR psychology consultancy SHL, eventually becoming global head of international projects based out of the Netherlands. He joined UBS AG in the private banking division as head of leadership and management development and then moved into a corporate role setting up and leading the UBS human capital function.

UBS’ human capital team is a small global team of 8 people split between the UK and Zurich with a focus on performance appraisal both across the whole company and very specifically for senior teams; employee surveys with a special focus and expertise on engagement; and selection and assessment testing and HR metrics. John holds a doctorate degree in psychology where his research interest was talent management models and in particular identifying and developing the high-potential employee at all levels throughout the organisation. John’s interests inside work are in leadership succession and assessment, performance management and culture, employee engagement and talent identification. Outside of work he splits his time between the Pembrokeshire coastline and London and pursuing his interest in contemporary ceramics.

John is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist, Chartered Scientist, Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and Honorary Researcher at the School of Psychology, University of East London
